How well does it match the curriculum?

Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected

It is excellent for covering elements of the music curriculum but not the entirety of the music curriculum. Our children and staff love the range of songs.

How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?

Well: The content is inclusive and sensitively presented

This isn’t something that I have considered before but the songs are very inclusive and there is a broad range of topics covered as well as some signing.

How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?

Brilliantly: There is a wide enough range of resources to provide a good range of options for all pupils

I think that the resources are excellent for a range of pupils and also for staff with varying levels of confidence in teaching music.

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Brilliantly: Pupils love using and are excited when they know they are going to do so

Our children and staff LOVE the songs!

How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?

Badly: There isn’t any / enough formative assessment or what there is, isn’t very useful

I wouldn’t necessarily say this is a bad thing as I don’t feel that there is a need for formative assessment in this area.

How well does it support planning?

Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation

I really like their new planning resources.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Reasonably: It could be used at home or independently, but pupils would need some extra support or resources

Sing Up were great at offering free resources during lockdown.

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen.

I think that you get a great bank of songs and warm up activities and there is now also the additional planning/programme of study.
