How well does it match the curriculum?

Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected

I enjoy the structure of the plans and how it informs you of the resources you will need for each session.

How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?

Well: The content is inclusive and sensitively presented

The images in the books and PowerPoint represent the children well. They reflect the ages of the children and the images are of diverse children which I feel plays a huge roll.

How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?

Reasonably: I feel that for classrooms with extreme differences in ability the scheme does not cater to it as well as it could. There is not enough inclusion for SEND children. There is a lot of text involved in the books and those new to reading English.

Differiation could be better but as an experienced teacher it is easy for me to set up.

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so

Children enjoy knowing what to expect in  terms of mental and oral, followed by demonstration, practical task and then completing work. They love it.

How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?

Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited

We assess differently as this does not provide enough support for EAL and SEND children to work independently so assessing them is difficult.

How well does it support planning?

Brilliantly: It has everything you could need and is straightforward to use with classes

I make some adjustments to suit the needs of my class but other than that, planning is great. This only works in a school which is well resourced.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Well: Pupils could be expected to use this at home or independently, with a minimum amount of support or additional resources

Easy for parents to understand too.

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Well: Not sure what the cost is, as I am not lead, but I know we paid lots for it and it worked for the school.
