Review rating:

A great resource more for practicing and retrieval of key spag concepts. Also quick and easy snap assessment tool.

How well does it match the curriculum?

Reasonably: It’s good enough for the money, but needs some additional resources

Quite broad headings. Would like them to be more specific and match the curriculum

How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?

Reasonably: Not noticed it particularly as the question sets only really refer to names so not something that I have seen as an issue

How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?

Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils

Good range of levels within the question sets which allows all children to access it. Can choose different year groups questions if need be to add further differentiation.

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so

The children enjoy using the iPads and like to do this. They like to see how they are doing on the board. I generally use as an informal class rather than tracked.

How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?

Well: We could (or do) use it for monitoring individual pupil progress

It is in itself an immediate assessment so you can identify key concepts that most children are getting wrong etc.

How well does it support planning?

Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation

I tend to use it to accompany a unit or as retrieval practice at the end of units etc. Very easy to use and quick to set questions.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Brilliantly: We’d have very few reservations about using this extensively to support home learning

This is ideal to use as home learning for extra practice. Set the questions and give the code - that is all they need.

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Reasonably: It represents about the same value for money as similar resources I’ve seen. It is quite expensive for many licences. But very easy to use and doesn’t take a lot of time to sort out.
