How well does it match the curriculum?
Reasonably: It’s good enough for the money, but needs some additional resources
Good video resources and things like quizzes for independent use. Some of the print off resources are unecessary as it is better to have all resources completable online.
How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?
Reasonably: Essentially there’s enough for most pupils but there isn’t enough extension or challenge.
It needs further challenge in History and Geography that requires children to analyse. Certain Maths topics could also be more tailored with support resources
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so
Engaging videos. News time resources is well used that keeps children up to date with the latest news in a child friendly way
How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?
Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited
How well does it support planning?
Reasonably: Mostly we can use it without an unreasonable amount of effort or additional resource requirement
Some useful plans but not always aligned with some of the resources for planning that we use in other subjects
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Well: Pupils could be expected to use this at home or independently, with a minimum amount of support or additional resources
Children can use this easily at home.
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Reasonably: It represents about the same value for money as similar resources I’ve seen
Lower cost per pupil especially for a one form entry smaller school. Discount for long term subscription
