How well does it match the curriculum?
Brilliantly: There is more content (eg support / extension activities) than we expected
Everything is covered very well. Very good extensions available. Not a lot of support for lower ability available however.
How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?
Brilliantly: The content stands out as being particularly positive in this regard and would be welcome in any school like mine
A range of ‘characters’ from different races depicted in questions
How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?
Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils
Excellent for middle ability and high ability, not a lot available for lower ability
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so
Good activities, lots of discussion/investigation activities
How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?
Badly: There isn’t any / enough formative assessment or what there is, isn’t very useful
No assessments available
How well does it support planning?
Brilliantly: It has everything you could need and is straightforward to use with classes
Clearly guides through teaching steps
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Reasonably: It could be used at home or independently, but pupils would need some extra support or resources
Children could work through sheets/books but sometimes written in a way so would need extra guidance
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen
Excellent resources but would like to see more for lower ability/SEN children
