It provides a great resource bank for non-specialist teachers
How well does it match the curriculum?
Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected
It has a good variety of songs available, including resources
How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?
Reasonably: There is some representation of minorities and no real stereotyping
It’s not really its focus to be honest.
How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?
Reasonably: Most of the guidance is obvious and teachers know how to differentiate in those ways
Some additional resources to aid differentiation via interactive whiteboards.
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so
The children enjoy the scheme
How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?
Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited
We don’t really use this resource for their assessments
How well does it support planning?
Brilliantly: It has everything you could need and is straightforward to use with classes
It has everything in one place
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Reasonably: It could be used at home or independently, but pupils would need some extra support or resources
It would be good if they enriched this area with other resources
