Does help teach a tricky subject as teacher subject knowledge is hard.
How well does it match the curriculum?
Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected
The new RE curriculum is hard to teach and this helps with some of the tricky overarching questions
How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?
Well: The content is inclusive and sensitively presented
It is inclusive and supports British values
How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?
Reasonably: It doesn’t reach out ARP SEND pupils so we have to heavily adapt
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so
It enables the teachers to teach it better so therefore engage pupils
How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?
Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited
It is hard to do this in RE so it tries hard!
How well does it support planning?
Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation
It really assists the teachers in each unit
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Badly: It’s not really suitable for home use or independent learning
Not appropriate for remote learning but we don’t need it for that
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen
For price - fair enough
