How well does it match the curriculum?

Brilliantly: There is more content (eg support / extension activities) than we expected

It is matched perfectly to the Computing curriculum. It is also laid out so that teachers and school leaders can easily match units to the strands of the Computing curriculum.

How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?

Well: The content is inclusive and sensitively presented

It is a colourful and bright learning environment with many activities differentiated by outcomes.

How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?

Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils

Many activities are differentiated by outcome and teachers can make tweaks as required.

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Brilliantly: Pupils love using and are excited when they know they are going to do so

Lots of fun games included. The activities are relevant and engaging for all primary ages.

How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?

Well: We could (or do) use it for monitoring individual pupil progress

All children’s work is stored electronically and allows teachers to assess appropriately.

How well does it support planning?

Brilliantly: It has everything you could need and is straightforward to use with classes

All the planning and resources are available for teachers to use with little time needed.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Reasonably: It could be used at home or independently, but pupils would need some extra support or resources

Children can log on from home and investigate Purple Mash as they wish.

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Brilliantly: It’s possibly the best value for money of any similar resources I’ve seen
