What are the best features of NTS?
NTS Assessments fit with the SATs that children will encounter in Year 6. This gives children the confidence to sit SATs from exposure to previous assessments.The familiarisation with the SATs style test means children also have opportunities to answer SATs style questions.
What additional features would you ideally like to see in future assessment resources?
The ability to track a pupil and classes/groups across multiple assessments which could feed into a forecast for end of Key Stage outcomes - a flight path. This would be especially useful if it could help to identify those children making accelerated progress, helping schools to identify what is working to close gaps.
