How well does it match the curriculum?
Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected
Great resource. Matches curriculum well for all key stages
How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?
Well: The content is inclusive and sensitively presented
Good for inclusion and helps support our school policies on this
How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?
Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils
All children are able to access the resource. It can easily cater for challenge or scaffolded learning
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so
Children really enjoy this resource and often ask to use it
How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?
Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited
Assessment for DT is a tricky matter and still an ongoing discussion in our school. We need something that it is not going to put too much pressure on teacher’s workload when we already spend a lot of time assessing.
How well does it support planning?
Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation
Lesson plans are a great resource on this. Particularly as we have teachers that find planning these subjects tricky so wish for that extra guidance.
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen.
Worth the money. Reasonable resource
