It has the potential to be useful but would like to see it working towards producing one excellent piece of art by the end of each unit.
How well does it match the curriculum?
Reasonably: It’s good enough for the money, but needs some additional resources
I find that the units are a bit random. It seems to jump from one topic/medium/artist to another without a clear thread or any end goal to work towards. Has provided some good ideas but now looking a different resource.
How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?
Well: The content is inclusive and sensitively presented
Reasonably good range of artists.
How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?
Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils
Tend to differentiate by outcome.
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Reasonably: We can’t use it too often or for too long
Feel they would be more motivated if they were working on the same piece for several weeks and could see their progress.
How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?
Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited
Am not very confident in this area.
How well does it support planning?
Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation
The videos are really useful.
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Reasonably: It represents about the same value for money as similar resources I’ve seen
