How well does it match the curriculum?
Brilliantly: There is more content (eg support / extension activities) than we expected
Ideas for lower able and extending highers
How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?
Brilliantly: The content stands out as being particularly positive in this regard and would be welcome in any school like mine
Lots of artists discussed and in style of, from different countries, ethnicities, political stances etc.
How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?
Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils
Some ideas on how to extend and further scaffold.
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Brilliantly: Pupils love using and are excited when they know they are going to do so
They enjoy the videos and seeing what they’re going to make by the end.
How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?
Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited
Before and after quizzes but sometimes questions aren’t always relevant to what’s covered or require you to cover extra aside from lesson plans.
How well does it support planning?
Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation
Clear objectives and steps. Listing of resources given.
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen
