The HA should be the first go-to resource for history - written by academic experts with excellent pedagogy

How well does it match the curriculum?

Brilliantly: There is more content (eg support / extension activities) than we expected

We feel really confident about the breadth and depth of this curriculum

How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?

Brilliantly: The content stands out as being particularly positive in this regard and would be welcome in any school like mine

This is an outstanding resource which fulfils  many aspects of diversity very creatively

How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?

Brilliantly: There is a wide enough range of resources to provide a good range of options for all pupils

Always a wide range of activities to cater for a full range of needs and abilities both individual and group work

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so

Pupils not always aware of the source of resources we use, but I find the HA resources always engaging

How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?

Well: We could (or do) use it for monitoring individual pupil progress

The progression documents are very useful and resources always indicate assessment opportunities

How well does it support planning?

Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation

Long and medium term planning esp good

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Reasonably: It could be used at home or independently, but pupils would need some extra support or resources

Not tried this really but we could explore it

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Brilliantly: It’s possibly the best value for money of any similar resources I’ve seen
