How well does it match the curriculum?

Reasonably: It’s good enough for the money, but needs some additional resources

The plans are detailed and clear, however it often involves having to create resources in order for it to work as a lesson or finding texts/scripture to go alongside it.

How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?

Well: The content is inclusive and sensitively presented

Over a key stage all religions are covered.

How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?

Badly: There isn’t enough range or some the age-related expectations are misaligned

There is no differentiation in the planning. Any differentiation needs to be done by the teacher.

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so

Some plans need to be made more interesting/exciting in order for engagement to be high.

How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?

Badly: There isn’t any / enough formative assessment or what there is, isn’t very useful

None really provided.

How well does it support planning?

Reasonably: Mostly we can use it without an unreasonable amount of effort or additional resource requirement

Plans need to be adapted for differentiation and resources need to made as these aren’t provided.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Badly: It’s not really suitable for home use or independent learning

It’s not set up for home learning especially as it requires a lot of input or working with groups to investigate
