I feel it is growing resource that will hopefully develop even more.
How well does it match the curriculum?
Reasonably: It’s good enough for the money, but needs some additional resources
There are some clear links to reading skills across the curriculum
How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?
Well: The content is inclusive and sensitively presented
There is a good range of focus authors with positive representation
How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?
Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils
The content can be adapted well to suit a range of learning needs
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Reasonably: We can’t use it too often or for too long
Some of the modules are far more engaging than others
How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?
Badly: There isn’t any / enough formative assessment or what there is, isn’t very useful
I am not aware of any specific formative assessments
How well does it support planning?
Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation
Good support for planning
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Reasonably: It could be used at home or independently, but pupils would need some extra support or resources
Like most English resources, it needs quite a lot of adaptations to support home learning.
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Reasonably: It represents about the same value for money as similar resources I’ve seen
I think it is good that content is being regularly added to.
