The most beneficial thing about CLPE is the pricing and range of resources. The least is the assessment

How well does it match the curriculum?

Brilliantly: There is more content (eg support / extension activities) than we expected

Able to use cross curricular

How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?

Brilliantly: The content stands out as being particularly positive in this regard and would be welcome in any school like mine

How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?

Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils

There isn’t differentiation but tasks are open

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so

Children become familiar with a text over time which helps with engagement

How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?

Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited

The assessments are ok. I don’t think they’re thorough enough so don’t use then

How well does it support planning?

Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation

Planning is adaptable, but for new teachers it’s not as effective

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Reasonably: It could be used at home or independently, but pupils would need some extra support or resources

Can adapt tasks but there’s nothing specific for home

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Brilliantly: It’s possibly the best value for money of any similar resources I’ve seen

It is cheap for the planning you get
