Really good website with a lot of easily usable resources
How well does it match the curriculum?
Brilliantly: There is more content (eg support / extension activities) than we expected
Lines up well with National curriculum and Maths White Rose activities
How well does it support your school’s inclusion/diversity/equal opportunities policy?
Well: The content is inclusive and sensitively presented
The activities have the same type of questions but at different levels to support learners of all levels
How well does it support differentiation for the full range of the classes you use it with?
Brilliantly: There is a wide enough range of resources to provide a good range of options for all pupils
As stated before, has many different levels
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so
How well supported is it by accompanying formative assessments?
Well: We could (or do) use it for monitoring individual pupil progress
Some questions and tasks can be use for formative and summative assessment opportunities, also has open ended investigations available
How well does it support planning?
Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation
Very simple and clear tasks which step on from each other which makes planning very easy
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Well: Pupils could be expected to use this at home or independently, with a minimum amount of support or additional resources
A lot of the tasks were used for home learning and Classrooms Secrets developed their own home learning platform/area
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Brilliantly: It’s possibly the best value for money of any similar resources I’ve seen
