Excellent resource for all areas of the curriculum
How well does it match the curriculum?
Brilliantly: There is more content (eg support / extension activities) than we expected
It covers the computing curriculum for key stage 1 and key stage 2. It offers cross curricular resources as well including EYFS
How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?
Reasonably: Essentially there’s enough for most pupils but there isn’t enough support, extension or challengeThere are help videos to support those who are struggling. It does not offer challenges for higher attaining pupils
More support to push the higher attaining pupilsneeded. Maybe including challenges and extensions. This could been done through success criteria
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so
The children enjoy being able to work at their own pace, save their work and access it at home via home access
How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?
Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited
I have not used the assessment feature
How well does it support planning?
Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation
Planning is included alongside a scheme of work for computing. The cross curricular items do not have planning
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Brilliantly: We’d have very few reservations about using this extensively to support home learning
Children have their own individual log on details. The children can access and save work at home. The teacher can set to do tasks that can be used as homework
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Brilliantly: It’s possibly the best value for money of any similar resources I’ve seen
Excellent value for money. It includes EYFS areas of learning and the national curriculum for key stage 1 and key stage 2
Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 11/11
