How well does it match the curriculum?

Brilliantly: There is more content (eg support / extension activities) than we expected

Supports children's ICT development, children enjoy it, are able to use it at home.Take a long time to sign everyone in

How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?

Brilliantly: There is a wide enough range of resources to provide a good range of options for all pupils

Could be an easier transition from mini mash to purple mash. I feel that they’re two different apps and the jump from Rec to Y1 is tricky for some children

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Brilliantly: Pupils love using and are excited when they know they are going to do so

I really enjoy purple mash and the free choice the children have. The only thing would be that there was more of a transition from EYFS to Rec

How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?

Well: We could (or do) use it for monitoring individual pupil progress

There isn’t really an assessment part for Reception. However, I’m aware that you can for other years.

How well does it support planning?

Brilliantly: It has everything you could need and is straightforward to use with classes

It fits it nicely with the new early years framework therefore helping children to reach the early learning goals.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Well: Pupils could be expected to use this at home or independently, with a minimum amount of support or additional resources

It’s easy for the children to navigate at home and parents found it simply enough to use. However, there isn’t an option for task so we had to rely on parents/children finishing it without going into other sections for home learning

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Brilliantly: It’s possibly the best value for money of any similar resources I’ve seen
