How well does it match the curriculum?
Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected
Loads of resources but many of them are a bit samey. The fact you can now upload a pdf and the children write on it makes it much more useable
How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?
Reasonably: Essentially there’s enough for most pupils but there isn’t enough support, extension or challengeTakes a lot of setting up for differentiation
Pre-made history resources that better reflect the curriculum are needed. Most of the history topics lack information and just allow the children to write about what they already know
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so
Easy for the children to log in, I set up “2Dos” that they find easily and then each piece of work goes into a separate folder
How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?
Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited
I mark their work but have not really looked at how the assessment side of things works - whether I can see the whole class's work at the same time. It would be good to have the children’s results for quizzes without having to go into each individual piece
How well does it support planning?
Reasonably: Mostly we can use it without an unreasonable amount of effort or additional resource requirement
It can take a lot of searching to find the thing you want, and some of the schemes are a bit clunky. There are several different crash course coding schemes for year 3 and it’s difficult to get back to the same one each time
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Brilliantly: We’d have very few reservations about using this extensively to support home learning
The children access it easily and having the same platform all the time helps children with fewer it skills to access it
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen
I don’t actually know how much it costs so it is difficult to comment - I think improvements to the platform recently have helped improve its value
Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 9/11
