How well does it match the curriculum?

Reasonably: It’s good enough for the money, but needs some additional resources

It covers all subject areas but the content is not always sequential. It also does not cover all the learning skills that are in the curriculum.

How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?

Reasonably: Essentially there’s enough for most pupils but there isn’t enough extension or challenge

The depth of questioning to support challenge for more able children is lacking, especially in key stage 2 and especially in reading with a focus on inference

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Reasonably: We can’t use it too often or for too long

They like the game aspect, but some of the content is a little repetitive and could be varied to engage them more

How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?

Badly: There isn’t any / enough formative assessment or what there is, isn’t very useful

How well does it support planning?

Badly: It takes a lot of time or additional resources to use it in the classroom

We do not use it to support our planning as it does not have the sequential learning needed to build the skills

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Well: Pupils could be expected to use this at home or independently, with a minimum amount of support or additional resources

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Reasonably: It represents about the same value for money as similar resources I’ve seen

It could have more opportunities to add personalised content for individual children which would make it better value for money
