How well does it match the curriculum?
Reasonably: It’s good enough for the money, but needs some additional resources
Not enough support for SEN pupils to access age related curriculum content and objectives to support them with the curriculum.
How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?
Badly: There isn’t enough range or some the age-related expectations are misaligned
Needs more resources to support SEN pupils with accessing age related curriculum expectations through scaffolding, support and guidance
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Reasonably: We can’t use it too often or for too long
Like the freedom to progress through activities. Better ways to guide what children do independently
How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?
Badly: There isn’t any / enough formative assessment or what there is, isn’t very useful
How well does it support planning?
Badly: It takes a lot of time or additional resources to use it in the classroom
Sometimes hard to link to planning and then it seems links become tokenistic rather than of value and Purple Mash might be better not used
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Reasonably: It could be used at home or independently, but pupils would need some extra support or resources
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Reasonably: It represents about the same value for money as similar resources I’ve seen
Reducing costs per pupil - Costs in school are rapidly increasing and savings need to be made in all areas
Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 3/11
