Should cover the whole of KS1

How well does it match the curriculum?

Badly: There are many gaps in curriculum coverage

It does not cover year 2

How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?

Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils

Catch up work is a feature too.

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so

Good focus and concentration due to repetition.

How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?

Brilliantly: We could (or do) use it for monitoring pupils or classes, for gap analysis or to inform intervention strategies

Really useful

How well does it support planning?

Brilliantly: It has everything you could need and is straightforward to use with classes

Planning is done and training videos support.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Well: Pupils could be expected to use this at home or independently, with a minimum amount of support or additional resources

Books need to be sent home.

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Reasonably: It represents about the same value for money as similar resources I’ve seen

It is disappointing that schools were strongly encouraged to use a scheme.

Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 7/11
