How well does it match the curriculum?
Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected
White Rose end of unit tests are really helpful as they reduce marking and children can easily access.
How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?
Reasonably: Essentially there’s enough for most pupils but there isn’t enough support . I would like more ks1 for lower ability year 3’s so they feel they can access.
Neds more lower ability questions across a variety of the subjects and also for questions where children have to type, making it clear whether their answer is right or wrong to the child
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Reasonably: We can’t use it too often or for too long
Those that can easily access it like it. But lower ability ones do not engage well as they find it too challenging.
How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?
Brilliantly: We could (or do) use it for monitoring pupils or classes, for gap analysis or to inform intervention strategies
How well does it support planning?
Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation
Mostly used for end of unit assessments as this reduces planning and marking.
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Badly: It’s not really suitable for home use or independent learning
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Reasonably: It represents about the same value for money as similar resources I’ve seen
Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 7/11
