So far, we are really enjoying using Kapow

How well does it match the curriculum?

Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected

The content expands the vague national curriculum well which ensures we are teaching a range of skills.

How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?

Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils

Most abilities are supported by it. Sometimes the severe special needs may need something different but usually we can combine elements to ensure they are able to access the lessons

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Brilliantly: Pupils love using and are excited when they know they are going to do so

The ideas and support materials really help to ensure the curriculum is enjoyed by pupils and the range of ideas also help

How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?

Well: We could (or do) use it for monitoring individual pupil progress

Assessment in art is an area we are working on and the curriculum does seem to help develop our assessment skills as well

How well does it support planning?

Brilliantly: It has everything you could need and is straightforward to use with classes

The lessons are detailed and the supporting videos help less confident staff to ensure they know the skills which are being taught.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Reasonably: It could be used at home or independently, but pupils would need some extra support or resources

To be honest, art is not an area we would set hope learning for and we haven't had the need to use this for remote learning

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen

I haven't been told the cost but the fact that this has been purchased by our school must mean that it isn't too expensive!
