Really good scheme, the best I have come across for computing.

How well does it match the curriculum?

Brilliantly: There is more content (eg support / extension activities) than we expected

Activities designed around the whole of the curriculum that are easy to access for teachers with a range of knowledge and understanding

How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?

Reasonably: Essentially there’s enough for most pupils but some more support for less able pupils would be good

More support for the less able would be ideal. Some more tasks to stretch learners would be good too

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so

Pupils enjoy many of the tasks, they are quite different to many tasks in computing schemes I have seen before.

How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?

Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited

Assessments do a reasonable job of covering knowledge from each unit. Greater guidance would be good.

How well does it support planning?

Brilliantly: It has everything you could need and is straightforward to use with classes

Lessons are broken down effectively so teachers of all levels of subject knowledge can understand them.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Reasonably: It could be used at home or independently, but pupils would need some extra support or resources

Haven't used it for this purpose but I believe it would need some adaptation Ito make it purposeful.

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen

Reasonably decent value, particularly considering it provides just about everything you need. The more subjects purchased the more effective it becomes
