How well does it match the curriculum?

Reasonably: It’s good enough for the money, but needs some additional resources

Games, assessments and learn screens all link to aspects of the curriculum and they are matched to different year groups so can be tailored to different age groups/attainment levels.

How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?

Reasonably: Essentially there’s enough for most pupils but there isn’t enough extension or challenge. Depth of reasoning could be greater.

Could be more reasoning questions asked - where children can apply aspects of what they have learnt. This could be in various subjects as well as maths.

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Reasonably: We can’t use it too often or for too long

They like the games and activities. The learn screens are informative and well pitched. To improve it, they could apply deeper reasoning skills, so the questions could provide a different level of challenge.

How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?

Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited

Sometimes it’s not completely clear which objective is covered and to what extent.

How well does it support planning?

Reasonably: Mostly we can use it without an unreasonable amount of effort or additional resource requirement

We use it as a supplement to our curriculum offer, it’s a bolt on and also handily accessible for children learning at home.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Well: Pupils could be expected to use this at home or independently, with a minimum amount of support or additional resources

Children enjoy using it at home.

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen

Closer curriculum links, deeper reasoning. More extensions for higher attaining pupils would also be useful.

Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 9/11
