We really value this resource
How well does it match the curriculum?
Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected
The content is well matched to the national curriculum for Early years all the way through to year six
How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?
Reasonably: Essentially there’s enough for most pupils but there isn’t enough support, extension or challengeI have found the best way to differentiate significantly Is to assign pupils to content on different year groups
Needs more clear differentiation within each year group so that pupils are not having to dip in or out of previous or subsequent content
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Well: Pupils generally enjoy using it and tend to welcome doing so
The wide range of games are appealing due to the variation between each one. Also the pupils like the graphics and sounds
How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?
Well: We could (or do) use it for monitoring individual pupil progress
We like the way there are additional resources that can be printed off so that pupils can do them after the lesson and show what they know
How well does it support planning?
Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation
We have found that planning is well supported. We have been able to utilise this as a whole class resource or direct individuals to activities
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Brilliantly: We’d have very few reservations about using this extensively to support home learning
Easy to use and easy to access means that this is easy to use at home. We only have positive feedback from home
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Reasonably: It represents about the same value for money as similar resources I’ve seen
I think this depends on the school and its budget and current spending priorities. Schools have to decide what they have to dedicate to this
Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 10/11
