It is an effective resource which works well. It is high quality, with engaging graphics. Good linking to the National Curriculum.

How well does it match the curriculum?

Reasonably: It’s good enough for the money, but needs some additional resources

It covers the curriculum, but does not provide sufficient extension activities. It would be good to have some more challenges that we could give higher attaining children.

How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?

Reasonably: Essentially there’s enough for most pupils but there isn’t enough extension or challenge

More activities that expand and challenge children's understanding of concepts are needed. This is particularly true at upper Key Stage 2.

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Reasonably: We can’t use it too often or for too long

They like that it can be done on a variety of devices and they like the gamification of learning. Younger children are motivated by the certificates.

How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?

Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited

How well does it support planning?

Reasonably: Mostly we can use it without an unreasonable amount of effort or additional resource requirement

It is clearly linked to the National Curriculum, which makes it easier to link work to that being done in the classroom. It is useful for homework.

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Well: Pupils could be expected to use this at home or independently, with a minimum amount of support or additional resources

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Reasonably: It represents about the same value for money as similar resources I’ve seen

It would be better value for money if the whole range of children's abilities were catered for - more extension.

Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 9/11
