How well does it match the curriculum?
Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected
Vast amount of resources to use and easy to find search for content. Curriculum relevant to different aspects and extra curricular useful for depth
How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?
Reasonably: Essentially there’s enough for most pupils but there isn’t enough support, extension or challenge. Content is mostly mainstream so difficult to differentiate without additional work
Could be more variety of content or option to differentiate by initial selection before using the resources in lessons and for support
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Reasonably: We can’t use it too often or for too long
As a video selection programme options are limited perhaps interactive functions or worksheet support would be useful to reinforce learning
How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?
Badly: There isn’t any / enough formative assessment or what there is, isn’t very useful
None
How well does it support planning?
Reasonably: Mostly we can use it without an unreasonable amount of effort or additional resource requirement
Easy to find resources makes it a strength no trawling through for hours to find something relevant to use in lessons
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Badly: It’s not really suitable for home use or independent learning
As it’s just videos it is not suitable for home use. Possible use to include it as a starter for homework or prompt for further work
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen
Happy with the price or funding option no need to alter, making it free would be better obviously for us in school but it is used daily and referred to a lot
Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 8/11
