How well does it match the curriculum?
Reasonably: It’s good enough for the money, but needs some additional resources
Good range of quality video resources across key stages. Easy way to search by topics. Weakness in some subject areas.
How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?
Badly: There isn’t enough range or some the age-related expectations are misaligned
Signed versions for hearing impaired children would be of great benefit for our particular children's needs.
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Reasonably: We can’t use it too often or for too long
Greater range of video resources with more depth and detail. Some videos are a bit basic or limited in terms of content.
How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?
Badly: There isn’t any / enough formative assessment or what there is, isn’t very useful
No assessment
How well does it support planning?
Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation
Ties in with the curriculum very well in a number of subjects. Easy access for starters of lessons or to generate discussion points.
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Reasonably: It could be used at home or independently, but pupils would need some extra support or resources
Would need additional information and guidance for parents to use.
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Badly: It really isn’t worth investing the time or money in introducing this resource at a school like mine
Very expensive for limited budgets of schools the cost if membership is prohibitive.
Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 5/11
