Have used it for a long time even with my own children and will continue to do so
How well does it match the curriculum?
Well: It covers the curriculum as well as we expected
It really supports coding for children in early years and helps to prepare them for the key stage one curriculum
How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?
Well: A large majority of resources are suitably differentiated for pupils
The games use levels that children can progress through so that means they can move at their own pace regardless of year group
How well does it engage and motivate pupils?
Brilliantly: Pupils love using and are excited when they know they are going to do so
The graphics are really bright and appealing and attract the attention of pupils. The music also is catchy and seems to appeal
How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?
Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited
The way children progress is if they succeed at one level so I suppose that is reasonable. Teacher print outs would be good
How well does it support planning?
Well: It’s fairly self-contained and can be used with minimal preparation
It is well aligned with requirements for the computing curriculum and also helps to prepare them for the next stage
How well does it support home use / independent learning?
Brilliantly: We’d have very few reservations about using this extensively to support home learning
Really intuitive and user friendly. Can be used on all sorts of devices and we have promoted the use of this at home for this reason
How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?
Well: It’s worth the money and effort to introduce – more so than many similar resources I’ve seen
Perhaps some additional paper based resources to be used as a follow up and the use could be used as evidence as to what they pupils can do
Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 9/11
