How well does it match the curriculum?

Reasonably: It’s good enough for the money, but needs some additional resources

Weakness is that sometimes it doesn't engage the children at all, main strengths it bite size chunks so the children aren't overwhelmed

How well does it support adaptation for different groups of pupils?

Badly: There isn’t enough range or some the age-related expectations are misaligned

It would be good to have varying difficulty sections, so that the children can be assessed and we can co-ordinate accordingly with the correct resource

How well does it engage and motivate pupils?

Reasonably: We can’t use it too often or for too long

I think it should be more current and up to date, that would hold the children's attention and get them engaged in the learning

How well supported is it by any included formative assessments?

Reasonably: There is some formative assessment included, but its usefulness is a bit limited

How well does it support planning?

Reasonably: Mostly we can use it without an unreasonable amount of effort or additional resource requirement

How well does it support home use / independent learning?

Badly: It’s not really suitable for home use or independent learning

The children find it difficult to learn independently with this resource, they find it flat and two tone. They want something exciting and adventurous

How would you rate it for value for money compared to similar resources?

Reasonably: It represents about the same value for money as similar resources I’ve seen

I think more relatable content, up to date and current content. Colourful and exciting is what the children need

Would you recommend it to a colleague in a similar school to yours? 6/11
